DUNE AREAS DECLARED “FREE OF INVASIVE ALIEN SPECIES

For statistical information we have put together two lists of the dune areas in the Municipality of Marbella which can be declared: “Free of Invasive Alien Species” (IAS). One of Pro Dunas undertakings is the control and eradication of alien plants in the dune areas in the Province of Malaga.

Pro Dunas’ information input is a valuable contribution and an important tool for the Ministry of Environment – the Regional Delegation of Málaga – enabling it to draw up a map of where the invasive alien species proliferate in the coastal areas.
