For the second year in a row, ProDunas Marbella together with Fundatul and Asociación Valores, gets our work schedule under way – initiatives and activities in the field of environmental awareness, sensitisation and teaching.

We will be in a different dune environment every Tuesday getting on with maintenance and conservation, manually grubbing out the different invasive alien species so that they do not thrive and displace the dune vegetation.

We will also hold environmental workshops where the seeds and berries of the native vegetation in the Ecological Reserve “Dunas de Marbella” and / or in the Natural Monument “Dunas de Artola” will be harvested. This will be done when they are at their optimum point of ripeness, perfect for harvesting. They will then be prepared to reseed the dune environments which are still degraded.
