DUNE CONSERVATION

Dune conservation 2023

We arrive at 2023 full of energy and enthusiasm to face a year full of activities and Volunteering. Already in the first months we have numerous Infant and Primary Schools that have reserved their days for dune conservation. We are excited that the little schoolchildren will be teaching about the awareness and importance of caring the environment, since they are the present and future of the conservation of the Marbella coastline. Teachers are realizing that environmental education must begin at an early age, which means that we have the first segment of schooling that will be beginning in love and sensitivity to preserve nature.

But we must not forget either the secondary school students who have been accompanying us for years and who happily come back year after year to take care of their sponsored dune.

Our brave and persistent volunteers deserve special mention. Every Tuesday they join us from dune to dune, eradicating every exotic species that regrow.

Undoubtedly, we are facing a year full of kilograms of invasive exotic species to be eradicated and seeds and fruits to be collected.

We hope you will keep joining us!
