A dark week for us at the end of August – 2 fires broke out, one in Marbella and the other in Estepona.
Thanks to good organisation and the speed and efficiency with which the teams worked, the result of a lot of practice and preparation for the prevention and extinction of Forest Fires of Andalusia (Plan INFOCA), the 2 fires which broke out in Altos de Marbella (Marbella) and in the open countryside known as “Peñas Blancas ” (Estepona) were brought under control. While the one in Estepona took longer, they were both brought under control in a relatively short period of time.
Our thanks and praise go to all the organisations involved – we can be proud of everyone’s good work.
